Check each body region where the patient has had pain or tenderness over the past week. Each region scores 1 point regardless of pain severity. The WPI captures the distribution of pain, not its intensity.
For each symptom below, rate the severity over the past week using the 4-point scale. These three items together score 0-9 and reflect the cardinal non-pain symptoms of fibromyalgia.
Physician's estimate of the extent of somatic symptoms. Based on a review of 41 possible somatic symptoms including headaches, IBS, muscle weakness, Raynaud's phenomenon, tinnitus, dizziness, and others. Select the category that best describes the overall somatic burden.
